How do I download Word onto netbook (w.o cd drive)? part 2?
Thank you for your answers to my earlier question. I went into My Computer (of old computer with Word) and sent MS Office and files to thumb drive. Then, I tried to download the file onto my Eee pc using Add Programs and the computer did not accept it. Any suggestions?
Programs cannot be copied from one computer to another, you must reinstall.
In this case, copy the Office setup disc to a thumb drive on your old machine and then run Setup from the thumb drive on the new machine.
For future use consider getting a USB optical drive for the new system or connecting new and old systems through their ethernet ports. You can use a crossover cable and not bother with a router if there are only two machines.
