Human beings have been heavily dependent upon agriculture since times immemorial. It has always acted as a major employment and economic outlet. Men were wise to realize its immense potential of agriculture. In fact, it is one of the first bread earners for human beings, and it's still very persistent.
Tools used in agriculture are quite varied. It ranges from ploughs, to axe, to sickles. But it's the tractor, which arguably plays the most important and multi-purpose role. A is a vehicle which is mainly designed to deliver a high tractive of torque effort at slower speeds. It is mainly deployed as a hauler or as machinery. The prime area of application is generally agriculture or construction. In most common usage, the term tractor is defined as a farm vehicle. These vehicles are mainly supposed to carry out agricultural tasks as a rapid and faster speed. Agricultural implements may be either towed behind or mounted on the tractor, while the process of plough is going on.
The name of a tractor usually varies from country to country. While its known as farm tractor in most parts of the world, its also called tractor trailer truck in Canada and United States Of America. These appeared for the first time around 1850. Those days' tractors were driven and powered by steam engines. With the advent of industrial revolution, technology started getting major boost. At the same time, tractors also received a major facelift. Though steam powered tractors were intact till 20th century, yet there were numerous changes.
As it is widely noticed, most of the tractors have smaller front wheels and larger of bigger rear wheels. Slower speeds are used on fields. Rear or bigger wheels are required in . Most of the tractors have been designed in such a way that it can achieve a maximum speed of 25 miles or 40 kilometers per hour. It would not be wrong to say that tractors have played a great deal of role in easing up the entire process of agriculture. Farmers have benefited tremendously ever since tractors were introduced in the agricultural scenario. Like every other technological offshoots, tractors are also upgraded and modified from time to time. This results in an increased efficiency and utility.
