Reversible Plow
Is it normal for a farmer to plough a border around a field before it is fully ploughed?
I've seen this been done once before, a farmer using 1 out of 5 furrows (was a reversible plough) to plough a border around the field. Is this a common practice? How does the plough allow this? is it used to guide the famer to maintain a straight line? Thanks.
sorry meant to say, the border that i saw was 20 feet in from the side boundary of the field and about 30 feet fom the ditch at the headland.
My Dad is a farmer and yes it is common. They have to leave a gap around the edge of the field to allow wild flowers to grow and small animals to thrive. They do a border first so that they have an idea of how far to the edge of the field they can go . Hope this helps x

Reversible Plow
When tires don't make noise your car is on the icy ground that could make car to skid because of less friction between ice and car tires. Steer gently always in the direction of skidding whenever rear wheel skids as well as take off foot from gas pedal to ease speed. Braking may cause further skidding. Gentle braking, slow and constant speed is necessary to prevent car from skidding. Always avoid overriding to sand truck and snow plow. Keep safe distance with front and rear vehicle on the road. Driving on hill and bridge requires full concentration in snowy weather. Never avoid weather forecast.
If your car stuck in snow pour sand, gravel or salt after removing away some ice from the wheels for traction. Go forward and reverse with slight touch of gas till you come out from hurdle.
In falling snow condition always use deep head lights or fog light (when you cannot see from 100 meters) but not in improved condition. Cars battery, head lights and tail lights makes difference in snowy ride. It is far better not to ride in snowy condition unless there is an emergency.

* Desolate roads
* Hilly driving
* Grip less tires
